The Comal ISD Board of Trustees has called a $567 million bond election for November 3, 2026. The proposal includes two propositions addressing safety and security, aging facilities, enrollment growth, student transportation, and classroom technology.

Applications for Free and Reduced-Price School Meals Available Now

The Comal Independent School District is announcing its policy for providing free and reduced-price meals for children served under the attached current income eligibility guidelines. Each campus as well as the district office has a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed by anyone on request.

For six years, Davenport High School has been 'building the pack,' or as the community likes to say, 'BTP,' creating opportunities for students to find their passions in sports, fine arts, academics, CTE and more. Six Comal ISD recent graduates are among 36 students across Texas’ 21st congressional district to receive the 2026 Exceptional Senior Award from U.S. Representative Chip Roy. These honorees were Nominated by their schools for their high levels of character, leadership, integrity and diligence.

Class of 2026 Honor Graduates: Summa, Magna and Cum Laude

The Class of 2026 included 300 students graduating with academic honors. The summa cum laude, magna cum laude and cum laude titles mean hours of studying for tests, completing homework assignments and collaborating on projects.

Comal ISD Offers Free Summer Meals at Four Locations with San Antonio Food Bank Partnership

Thanks to its partnership with the San Antonio Food Bank, Comal ISD is offering two options and four locations for free summer meals.

Comal ISD Board Approves 2026-2027 Pay Increase

The Comal ISD Board of Trustees approved a 3 percent midpoint salary increase for all Comal ISD employees for the 2026-2027 school year during its meeting on May 28.
