Pickup Day and Time - GRES
• Our pickup day will be on Thursday, May 14 from 8:00 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• We anticipate that early morning and late afternoon will be the peak busiest times. Please try to
come during the off-peak times if your schedule allows it.
• Please note if you have students at CHS or DMS, this the same scheduled pickup day, which is why we are happy for you to arrive as you are able within the time allotment Traffic Flow (see attached map)
• Attached is a map of how traffic will flow. Please follow the signs that indicate where items will be dropped off and/or picked up.
• Please follow the directional signs that will be posted on campus.
• Medication Pickup and Item Drop Off locations will be in the bus loop, which is located early in the traffic flow. Please watch for signs so that you do not have to make a second trip through the traffic flow process.

Before you leave the house
• Bag items to be returned that are not needed for the Residence Learning Program (ex. teacher loaned items or books). Label the outside of the bag with your student’s first and last name, ID# and grade. Please do not put GRES library books in the bag.
• Please clear a designated spot in your vehicle for staff to place items. Note: the preferred location is in a trunk/back hatch if this is available. If a trunk/back hatch is not available, please clear a spot on the back seat, passenger side.
• Place drop-off bag and library books in a location in your vehicle where the driver or passenger can easily access them without getting out of the vehicle. (They will hand these items to a staff member, from the vehicle window.)
• Create a window sign with your student’s name (last name, first name), grade level and homeroom teacher. You can use your colored car rider tag, but please remember to add the homeroom teacher’s name. The sign needs to be visible from a distance; use a dark colored marker.
• Limit the number of people in the vehicle.

When you arrive at the campus:
• Hang tag on the mirror or place paper on the windshield with student(s) name, grade level and homeroom teacher; follow traffic flow and directional signs once entering the campus from Municipal Parkway.
• Keep windows rolled up at all times, with the exception of the book/bag drop-off, medication station or if you are otherwise directed; do not exit the vehicle at any time.
• When you approach the designated cone for pickup, open trunk/back hatch or unlock door and a staff member will place the student’s items in the designated location.
• Note: if Mrs. Jeske or Nurse Nichol contact you regarding instrument drop off or medication pickup, this will take place in the bus loop zone before you merge into the car line to pick up student items.

Medication Pick up
• Nurse Nichol will be contacting parents over the next week if there are medications that need to be picked up.
• The pickup station will be located in the bus loop, before you pick up your student items at the Parent Pickup Loop(see attached map).
• IDs will be checked, so be prepared to show through the car window.
• You will be asked to roll down your window at this station.
• Some medications will need to be signed for when picked up.
• If an alternate person (18 or above) is going to pick up meds, that person should present a signed letter from the parent or guardian or communicate with the campus nurse prior to the scheduled pick up day.
• Turn off air conditioner when medications are being handed into the vehicle.

Additional notes regarding items for pick-up/ drop off on May 14th:
• The week of May 26th, we will take inventory in the library after teachers return any student books that are found in the classrooms. Once we have an updated/ accurate list of books still checked out to our students, we will email you the information to ensure time to look for the books.
• For those who have instrument rentals, Mrs. Jeske will be following up with more information on this process.
• For those of you who have borrowed items from the classroom, the teacher will be following up with more information.
